Terms of Use for Consumers

Introduction

TrustCheck is an open review platform that connects businesses and consumers through transparent feedback. These Terms of Use explain how you may use TrustCheck and what you can expect from us.

Definitions

“TrustCheck”, “we”, “our”, or “us” means TrustCheck LLC, Tema Community 18, Ghana. “Platform” means TrustCheck websites, apps, and services, including reviews, comments, images, and other content.

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the platform, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Guidelines for Reviewers. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

Creating and using an account

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and post reviews.
• You may only create one account and it is personal to you.
• You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and up to date.
• Your username must not impersonate others or contain abusive, discriminatory, or illegal content.

Your responsibilities

• Post reviews only about genuine experiences.
• Do not submit fake, incentivized, or misleading reviews.
• Do not upload harmful code, attempt to disrupt the platform, or interfere with other users.
• Do not use the platform for marketing or to promote yourself or a business.
• Do not scrape, mine, or automate access to the platform without our permission.
• Be respectful to other users, businesses, and TrustCheck staff.

Guidelines and policy updates

You must follow our Guidelines for Reviewers and policies. We may update these rules, and updates apply when published.

Intellectual property

TrustCheck owns the platform and its content, except for your own user‑generated content. You may not copy or reuse our content without permission.

Your content

You own the content you submit but grant TrustCheck a worldwide, royalty‑free license to use, display, distribute, and adapt it for operating and improving the platform.

Platform activity data

We may generate analytics and insights from platform usage to improve TrustCheck. This data belongs to TrustCheck.

Feedback

Any feedback you provide may be used by TrustCheck without restriction or payment.

Support

If you have issues, please contact our support team through our contact page or help channels.

Impartiality

Reviews must be honest and unbiased. User views are their own and do not represent TrustCheck.

Privacy and data use

We process personal data according to our Privacy Policy and Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). If you have unresolved privacy concerns, you may contact Ghana’s Data Protection Commission for guidance.

Confidentiality

We both agree to protect confidential information shared in the course of using the platform, except as required by law.

Suspension and termination

We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or our Guidelines. You may delete your account at any time.

Disclaimers and liability

The platform is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by Ghanaian law, TrustCheck is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the lesser of GHS 100 or the total fees you paid in the last 12 months (if any).

Dispute resolution and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ghana, without limiting any consumer rights you may have under applicable law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform means you accept the updated Terms.
